The OPD Animal Bite Treamtent Center will remain CLOSED on September 3, 2024 (TUESDAY) ALL NEW Category III* Animal Bite Cases will be catered at the Emergency Department OPD will resume normal operations on September 4, 2024 (WEDNESDAY) *Category III- Major exposures, transdermal bites, licks on broken skin or mucous membrane, bites on head and neck area, exposure to a rabies patient, unprotected handling of infected carcass, ingestion of raw infected meat, exposure to bats *will also include Cat II exposures but the patient is either of the following: infants <2 years old, elderly, immunocompromised, from a disaster area or lives outside Metro Manila.
